Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency, and its covered recipients, are subject to Section 3 of the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (“Act”).  Section 3 of the Act requires that employment and training opportunities go to low- and very low-income persons, especially those residing in the geographical areas where the covered funds are expended.  The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) has established regulations at 24 CFR Part 75, which govern the administration and compliance requirements of Section 3.  Please note that these regulations were implemented in November, 2020, and replaced previous regulatory requirements.  Additional information about Section 3 can be found in the Document Repository of this website, or at: https://www.hudexchange.info/programs/section-3/
